Rest in peace Sergeant Scott Hathcock.

Deputy Hathcock died of an unknown reason during a traffic stop. This article has a little about him.

My thoughts and condolences to the Hathcock family.

I worked with Scott in Wasatch County back when we were both still troopers. A great guy, always ready to help, and the consummate professional. We'll miss you, Scott.

I never met the man, but was on-scene while EMS worked him and eventually declared him 10-85-E. In speaking with several officers there, it sounds like he was an outstanding officer and an all around great day. It was a sad day.
