Stolen Car

Any tips on what to do? We called our city police department this morning. Sounds like it is probably too late... that it has probably been sold for parts already.

Does the car have OnStar or Lojack?

Just file the report, contact your insurance company and "relax".


Every stlen car doesnt get stripped as is commonly thought. Some are used for joy rides or to commit other crimes and then dumped.

Before you contact any department let me ask you this: Do you have the information on your vehicle? By that I mean, do you have the LP and/or VIN#? If you don't then kiss your car goodbye cause ain't much can be done.

If you do, well by all means file a report and let the officer enter into TCIC?NCIC

No OnStar or LoJack...but did have the LP and VIN..turned those in. We also were able to get some tolltag charge records. It looked like they ran up and down the tollway a few times and were in the same location as we were in another car about 8 minutes before.

Update

Well, it was found today in a city about 30 min away. ...I think. Hopefully it isn't too messed up.
