Texas DPS Officer Jumps off of Bridge to Avoid Being hit by Car.

SAN ANTONIO --


A Texas Department of Public Safety trooper was injured Tuesday morning when he jumped off an Interstate 37 bridge.

According to DPS Trooper Travis Hall, the lawman was assisting a San Antonio police officer on a traffic stop on Interstate 37 and Fair Avenue at around 8:30 a.m. when he jumped off a bridge to avoid a car.

Hall said the trooper suffered a leg injury, but no other details were available.

Has anyone that works with the DPS heard of his condition? I wonder how close that car came to him.

Man thats crazy....I would think if he had to jump off the bridge to avoid getting hit the car that almost hit him would have crashed into his unit or the san antonio cops unit..

See thats what I was thinking. Usally something like that, the driver would have some paper put on him. I couldnt imagine that the trooper just thought it was going to impact and then jump. Either way I hope somebody knows the condition of the Trooper.
