DeSoto PD Hiring

DeSoto PD is having an entrance exam on 11-14-09,

Community of approximately 47,000. Starting salary $46,188-48,732.

Two quick questions in regards to the application process for DeSoto, TX PD:

1. The November test date, is that inclusive of the PT test as well?

2. I noticed as well that they run credit checks, as I assume all departments do these days....would I be disqualified for having bankruptcy on my report?

The pt portion has routinely been given after the written portion of the test. I have not heard of them deviating from that for this test. I also believe that they have been successful in changing the pt test from the cooper to the leopard challenge.

As for the bankruptcy, I am not really sure how they handle the credit checks. I am sure it would be on a case by case basis.

I hear that it may be 2 positions. We usually exhaust our lists so don't let that be a deterent.
