  • Help with PAT (Obstacle Course)

I done a PAT for a department and did not pass. I flew over the first two walls with no issue. Done the steps and I could feel it in my legs. Done the high knees through the tires. Struggled hard with the dummy drag and after that my legs were gone. I mean they felt like jello. All I havd left was running for the rest of the obstacle course and I tried to push through, but I literally could not run with how my legs were. Any tips or advice please.

You're out of shape. Start a cardio program and focus on leg strength. Do air squats or wall sits during the day. Eat more protein drink more water.

I had to go over an 8' block wall the other day with 30 lbs of gear on and then run a few hundred yards. The obstacle course is literally the easiest part of the hiring process/academy.
