Dont hold your breath, TBI hired back several months ago for an entry level Special Agent position. They currently have an ABC Special agent position open in Hamilton County, TN (east, tn).

As for THP not anytime soon, they need them, but not likely anytime soon.

i wouldn't hold my breath for TBI. i just saw on the 10 o'clock news that tbi wants to charge police departments for dna testing or else they'll have to cut approximately 70 jobs next year....
