      bring a pistol

... but really you'll be ok, but you should maybe bring two...don't stray more than a couple miles north or south from poplar avenue and youll probably have nothing to worry about

we have the levitt shell free concert series, that might still be going down in a month. I'd offer to hang out with you, but I won't be here. the easiest way to find something going on is to pick up a copy of the Memphis Flyer, a free local newspaper, theres always alot of stuff listed to do, especially on the backpage. you can find one almost anywhere once you arrive. the big local newspaper, the commercial appeal, while staffed by a bunch of would-be gun grabbing leeches, also is a good source of info. their site is gomemphis.com.

i would recommend you get a sandwich at fino's, at the corner of mclean and madison. also worth checking out is kwik check, right up the street, and molly's la casita, directly across the street. alot of people are into barbeque, the rendezvous is where most people go get some, i'm not into it, but everyone tells me corky's on central is way better. the huey's restaurant/bar are nice and open late, theres like 5 of them so they're not too hard to get to wherever youre staying. if you find yourself on the highland area, check out juicy jim's sandwich shop, between wangs and dominoes, its really good. there are also a few good restaurants in the "cooper young" area...you might also catch the cooper young festival while youre here. its interesting, to say the least

i am really hungry, if you can't tell...be sure to check out shang-hai on poplar right before cleveland, i think that's where im headed right now

Get Central BBQ on Central Ave, my personal favorite.

As for the GUN thing, Bring One or two.

Alot of people like Beale Street, im not the biggest fan but its something to do.

A daily party on the Historic Street of Memphis, known as Beale Street.

If you watch the video, you may recognize some of those people once you get here.

        Have Fun.

            No problem at all

            Central BBQ
            Hueys
            Little Italy (awesome pizza)
            Interstate BBQ
            Pei Wei

All a good choice, PM me if you need help or anything.

Funny thing is my shift was almost over one morning and I was crossing Mainstreet on like madison or somehwere close and looked down main and saw Mr. adair (wheel Chair guy) in the middle of approx jefferson and main and he was doing donuts in his wheel chair at about 5am. He was litterally the only human being out at that point in time except me, i just started LMAO and kept on driving.

I agree with going to Beale St and I like eating at Huey's downtown. Rendevouz is famous, its good but it's overrated. If you are traveling with kids or anything, go to a Redbirds game.
