Any Charleston City cops here? How's the new chief? any improvement on moral, pay, equipment, stuff like that?

Try http://www.palmettocops.com/ and hit their forums there. Generally...they don't seem too happy but I don't really know any from their agency.

man, you read those forums and you'd think there was nowhere good to work in the charleston area!! some real disgruntled people.

Yeah, that's why I didn't want to comment. I don't know anyone there but from what I'm always reading...they don't care for it. I dunno...

Officers love to vent so take it with a grain of salt too... The site lets them air their problems to each other.

I have always heard that Charleston County Sheriff's office is great to work for but I don't know anyone one there either, other than they have a good rep in-state.
