It seems like SC is a tough state for LEOs to work in. The pay is low, you have no union to back you up, and god forbid you have to use force against someone.
I have never seen so many firings for the most minor infractions. For example, a Trooper was fired because he pulled over some NFL player and told the guy he would use a taser on him if he didn't comply. Yeah, the trooper should have been written up or possibly suspended, but to be fired over it is extreme.
I bet if the Ferguson shooting or Eric Garner incident took place in a SC city, the officers would have been fired within hours.
