Officer Shot, Suspect Shot and Killed- Columbia

Don't know who all heard in the news but Wednesday early morning an officer was shot in Columbia, SC. The officer survived thanks to his bullet proof vest. The suspect was shot and killed about an hour later after opening fire on SWAT.

Glad the CPD officer is ok... I just don't understand decisions people make...

Yeah, he had just graduated, he was in the group that was hired just after me. Five days into patrolling and he's the first officer shot in 15 years. To think, some officers don't wear their vests...

Glad the suspect is dead and can't hurt anyone else.
