PA State Police Cycle 6015

Figured I'd get a thread going on cycle 6015.

Did they extend the date?

It used to be applications end April 1st of 2021, now on the website it says cycle ends June 30th 2021?

I don’t think they have administered the written exam yet. But the last I seen the cycle ends April 1st. Not sure what to think. If anyone has more info please add. I’m in cycle 6014, but signed up for cycle 6015 just in case. But have not heard about test dates for the written exam.

FWIW, Dates are typically first class June, second class September.

PSP is by far the lengthiest process. They're never in any rush.

I think they skipped cycle 6015 and 6016 will start applications Aug 1st. I signed up for 6015 and never got another email about written test.

Incorrect - PSP and Pearson Vue have been having a difficult time with their written exam registration email. Monday 7/26 we should be receiving our scheduling email.

6016 may be accepting applicants soon but you won’t test until closer to 2022 for that cycle.

PSP is by far the lengthiest process. They're never in any rush.

Realistically how many people get through the application process? Anyone know?

Just seems like they have 2000-2500 candidates apply initially and then after a year of their process only 150 or less actually get into the academy...

Wayyy more then that apply. Several thousand on average. After the written about 2000 get invited to orals..... Number shrinks from there, and so on

Took my written for 6015 the other day…I think they are scheduling written tests till October, orals would be in late Nov.-Dec, Polys end of Jan and so on. Good luck!

Website says Orals tentatively scheduled for 19NOV-23NOV.

Anyone know why they didn’t send our rankings out yet?

I just got an email this morning saying I was invited to the oral interview next month. Unfortunately we didn’t get individual rankings like last cycle.

Oral interview invites went out today.

My guess is for the rankings they will rank people once oral interviews are complete. Written + Oral + Veterans/Legacy points (if applicable) all at once and then send out the rankings.

anyone have the numbers from someone who didnt pass… like this is how many people took it and blank moved to the oral?

I remember the last time I tested in 2018 the number was just over 8000 and they took the top 1200 so maybe in that same area.
