Pab Finally Recognized As Deplorable?

ABC 6 is doing a story tonight at 11 pm about the deplorable conditions at the PAB. I wonder if they were allowed in? I hope I can stay up that late to watch.

There should be a new PAB built. Everything should be centralized. Evidence, firearms, chem lab and a ton of other functions should be run out of one building so we don't have to run all over the city to drop off and pick things up.

I watched it. That place should be condemned. It's a shame to see they are working in those conditions. The building is literally falling apart.

But I highly doubt a new Police Headquarters is on the Mayors agenda these days....

Can you imagine how many people got sick as a result of working in the PAB? How many got cancer from the Asbestos that the removed while people were still working in the building?
I am sure there are many but not that many survived to talk about it today.

What is the PAB in this discussion? I assume it's not the Police Advisory Board from the 60's and I saw Casey mention "a new Police Headquarters". I am just unfamiliar with the acronym and would appreciate a brief explanation.

I like the exterior of the PAB. It has a futuristic design to it. But the interior just is not advanced enough for these times. I saw wood paneling in there on the walls, ugh what is this the 70s. Wires all bunched up everywhere, which is surely a fire hazard. I bet WiFi and cell phone service in that place is awful as well.

They need to knock that thing down and rebuild up from the ground. That needs to be in the next budget...

Its horrible conditions and I hope it gets better. Did those of you who watched 6 ABC hear Jim O'Brien throw out the L&I option??? That will frost some stones. Get L&I to condemn it

I don't think L & I would come out unless they got a call for the outer structure falling down but I am not sure. What I am pretty sure of is that what examiner is going to do it and put their name on something that could cause them huge problems in their career?
