DEPUTY RANGERS
PART-TIME

This is a law enforcement position that provides for the park visitor’s safety and for the protection of Park District properties and natural resources. To enforce, as applicable, the Park District’s ordinances and State laws, and to enhance park user experience through assistance, information and education.

Qualifications:

Minimum of one year of college credits
Experience Law Enforcement Officer in the State of Ohio preferred
Valid Ohio motor vehicle operator's license
Sound physical condition with height and weight corresponding
20/125 correctable to 20/20 vision in both eyes, absence of color blindness
Minimum 21 years of age
Pass background investigation, including drug, polygraph test and psychological exam
United States citizen, resident of the State of Ohio
CERTIFIED IN LAW ENFORCEMENT as required by the Ohio Peace Officers Training Council
NO PAST FELONY, DOMESTIC VIOLENCE OR OTHER SERIOUS CONVICTIONS OR ADMISSIONS
Must be willing to WORK ALL SHIFTS, holidays and weekends not to exceed a total of 1662 hours per year

Ranger department weapons, as assigned
Drug identification apparatus
Radar
Fingerprinting apparatus
Patrol vehicles and equipment
Maps
Computers, office equipment (typewriter, fax, copier)
