Out of state transfer

I’m looking to get my certs transferred from Louisiana which is also a post state. My Certification lapsed. will the state of Ohio consider my police academy training towards an Ohio certification? I am expecting a job offer soon, I’m aware that my employer will need to send a job offer before I’m considered by the state of Ohio. But will my academy transcripts suffice, in lieu of an active POST certification?

Good luck, most states like Ohio training, not necessarily the other way around. Definitely call them and check.

It seems as if Ohio's state certification board will review your training then make a determination in the hours you would need to become a certified Ohio officer
