Is there an age cut off to apply to be a Cincinnati police officer?

As with many departments, you have to be 21 by the time you graduate the academy. In Ohio you can't be furnished a handgun until the age of 21.

you can work in Ohio as a fully commissioned police officer at 18 as long as its for a Sheriff's dept, or village. A municipality or State LE agency can't hire you till 21.

Would you consider Columbus Police? They are taking applications right now. No age max and the pay is quite a bit more than Cincinnati.

It doesn’t appear that Cincinnati has a max age limit. The biggest issue (In my opinion) is being able to physically withstand the physical requirements of the academy.

I misread his post as an age minimum. You are correct that Cincinnati does not have a maximum age, you just have to meet the OPOTA standards for your age group.
