  • Letter to dept.

I took a written exam for a local pd, upper arlington, a few months back and haven't heard anything since. I placed high on the exam, so I expected to hear something by now. My question is whether or not it is appropriate to write a letter to them asking about where they are in the process and what the next step is. Of course, I would also thank them for the opportunity. Does this sound alright?

Unless you have changed your address, no.
For the cops out there: You are an adult. If you want to write someone, write them. If you don't want to write someone, then don't write them.

How "high" did you score? I have seen people get DQ'd for contacting the agency...PATIENCE is a virtue, and the hiring process tests every aspect of that.

I was sent a letter stating that I was 5th on the list after the written test.

Disregard the post; got a letter from upper arlington today saying they want to move into the background. Thanks for the advice.
