Franklin County Test Date And Questions

I just received my notification of my test date for Franklin County Sheriff's Dept.

I am Certified in Florida, Is there a big difference up here and are my Certs transferable?

You will need to check with OPOTA...last I heard they were rarely acknowledging out of state certs. This may have changed. Go to the Ohio Attorney General Website and you will find a like to OPOTA there. BEst of luck.

You will be hired as a Corrections Deputy and put through the Corrections Academy. Average time in Corrections there is 8 years before you have enough seniority to bid to patrol or another section. So I wouldn't worry about you lateral transfer for a while.
