Upcoming OSHP Academy Class

I keep hearing April or may but nothing set in stone as of yet !!!!

Has anyone heard anything about any upcoming academies? I finished the process a year ago and can't get any answers from Columbus. I can't really understand how they expect to hire quality troopers when they have people wait so insanely long.

Not sure how many of you are on the eligibility roster, but they just sent out an e-mail that there is a new step in hiring process, and that we all need to go get a physical done and fax it to them.

Does anyone know what’s up with the recent hiring push? They posted the job twice in recent months? Are they having a lot of retirements? I want to apply but not sure if I can wait years like I’ve been reading on here.

They said they couldn’t tell us how many people were on the list waiting for an academy start date. I have my polygraph in a week and a half

Did they make it seem like you guys who were testing had a shot at getting into it?

At our testing date we were told about a possible spring class around March/April

Any word on any possible Spring or 2019 academies in general? Or what have recruiters been telling people who just took the recent December tests?

I have two buddies in the academy now who applied September 2016. I take my written and PT test December 19th

Has anyone heard anything about any new academies once the new year starts? Also, does anyone know where they’re at on the eligibility list? Like when did the people who just started the academy finish their backgrounds? Thanks!
