    Position Summary: The University of Toledo is announcing the recruitment of qualified professionals for the position of University Law Enforcement Officer. Recruitment for this position will create an active eligibility list for current vacancies and for any future positions that may become available.

    Qualifications: Candidates must be at least 21 years of age by 10/28/2011; possess a valid driver's license; meet minimum standards of physical condition/fitness; and have a valid Ohio Peace Officer Training Certificate, or be currently enrolled in an OPOTC-certified police academy.

    In addition, candidates must submit to a drug/urinalysis test; have completed 96 quarter hours/64 semester hours of college level academic credits from an accredited college or university (having earned a GPA of 2.0 or higher); OR education may be substituted with five (5) years of continuous active full-time law enforcement experience (as a state-certified peace officer) with a state certified law enforcement agency.

    Finalists must successfully pass a physical fitness exam; psychological exam; polygraph exam; written and oral testing; interview processes; and a thorough background investigation; etc. An entry-level written police examination will be administered in October. Candidates who meet minimum qualifications will be contacted by mail with testing information.
