Auxiliary Officer Ballistic Vest Program

Hello, I am a volunteer Auxiliary Police Officer in a city in Ohio. I am in the market for a new ballistic vest and was wondering if there are any programs either in Ohio or nationally that can assist me in purchasing a vest since they cost so much and I will be paying out of my own pocket. Also, does any manufacturers have their own discount programs for auxiliary officers (I know Point Blank does)? I am interested in the Safariland XT series either level II or IIIA. Point blank did, but it expired at the end of July. I took advantage of it and got a brand new custom fit IIIa vest for $260 shipped to my door, it took about 4 weeks from order to wearing it. You are welcome to get ahold of point blank and see if they are running it again and when, the sales rep who ran that program in July was Ryan Mountz, good luck

As of Feb 2010, Point Blank offers a 55% discount for reserve/auxiliary officers. It's a great deal on top-of-the line vests (IMO).
