Does anyone know if Jacksonville accepts applications from people out of state? I have looked on their website and do not see an answer one way or another.

    Thank you for your time.

Last I knew, they did. There are a couple from that area that frequent here, normally in the evening...I'm sure they'll answer it for you.

I don't agree with your opinion, but I respect its straightforwardness in terms of wrongness.

Depends if we're talking new applicant or lateral transfer.

If lateral transfer, most departments do. Based on their job posting, Jacksonville likely does as well, presuming that you're certified and have at least two years of full-time experience in New York. The two-year-minimum is a state Training & Standards requirement. Some agencies will just say "apply" and evaluate applications on a case-by-case basis.
