The trespassing doesn't sound too awful. The 20-25 times of marijuana use sounds like you were an addict though. I don't know what the SHP will say about it though.
Basically the highway patrol in NC is traffic enforcement. You will work wrecks and enforce traffic laws, especially in unincoporated parts of the state. The SBI (State Bureau of Investigation) is the closest we have to a State Police.
