Everytime I cross into NC from TN on I-40, I always see these white road signs that say ACCIDENT INVESTIGATION SITE with an arrow pointing to the shoulder of the road.... But there's nothing there.... What are these signs????

I always thought it was common knowledge to move your vehicle to the side of the road if you were able to after an accident......that is until I started doing this job. Some of these people need a ticket for being dumb in a no dumb zone.Comment

In defense of us citizens, people are simply misinformed. I was always told that I am to leave my car where it is until police arrive to investigate. It makes sense because it's assumed that the police need to see the original scene untouched to make their report, but I guess this only applies for major accidents.Originally posted by nctroop14 View PostComment
