It doesnt really make much sense to plead guilty to something you didnt do or if she exagerated it esp. if it was a week later. If it didnt happen the chances are she had no proof and no witnesses so you should have never plead guilty. Thats water under the bridge now i dont think you have a great shot but give it a try see what happens explain exactly what happened and if you wernt in the wrong maybe they will believe you. Either way atleast you can say you tried.

Please. Do me a favor. Before you go on the job, take a basic writing course. It took me way too long to get through this abortion of writing to understand what you were trying to say.

And just for the record, you're gonna have a hard time getting on with a charge like that.

I thought that if you had a NYSID (from a prior arrest) you keep that your whole life, even when you join a PD.

As far as the topic at hand, passing the BI is one thing....How are you supposed to pass the psych? The BI might push you through with the misd., however, the psych doc is going to have a field day with you.

Cause you got arrested on an assault charge, usually means their was physical force used....that's why I assume

You pleaded guilty, whether it got pleaded down to a "violation" is besides the point, murderer's plead down to lesser manslaughter charges all the time, DWI's to DWAI's, so on and so forth. A plea deal is still an admission of guilt...

Can't have 2 NYSIDS. Only 1. If you are on the job and THEN get arrested, you will get a bad one again. Right now we have a "GOOD" nysid #.

NYCTNT.........Sorry to contradict you, but it is entirely possible to have at least two NYSID #s. I've seen that numerous times. Eventually all the entries on one of the #s are transferred to the other, and the first one just hangs on empty.

                            Dino,

No reason to appoligize to me. I have noticed a different trend, but I guess with anything that applies to public service, anything goes.

NYCTNT.......DCJS has to assign NYSID #s based upon the prints they get....usually they can match the prints but occasionally they same mutt's prints will be slightly off or the tech doiesn't read them correctly and a second number gets assigned....always watchful for that in the Courts.

I also have a question...I have this friend that would like to get on the force...He is 30 now but when he was around 16 years old he found a credit card and used it for whatever reason...

The final verdict was he pleaded to grand larceny in the fourth degree which i believe is a class e felony...and served a couple years of probation.. The records were sealed and put under youthful offender status..

Wouldnt this be a dq with no questions asked..He has been saying that because he was so young and it was put under a youthful offender status that he should at least give it a shot.. I dont think so..

                                what do you guys think
