It was gonna be merged wth the state troopers but that was canceled.

Park Police are trained like state troopers. University Police is a good gig in terms of not doing some of the things other cops do.

Is the test the same test as 2022 state troopers exam ? What’s the lowest score that usually gets called for these tests.

Park Police forever undermanned, crummy days off forever, underpaid, takes forever to transfer and 25 year retirement. Latest I heard were Officers getting mandated to work their days off.

Does anyone know the work schedule of the park police? (12 hrs or 8/how many days on and off)

Was 5/8s from May-September and 4/10s from September to May. Being new I had Tuesday/Wednesday off for summer and Tuesday-Thursday off in winter, afternoon hours. Each area is slightly different for days off and hours. You wont have any weekends off besides while in the academy.
