I emailed my investigator to check on the status of my case and all she could tell me was there's no outstanding documents that's needed for her and I could reach out to the psych Department to see if there's any outstanding documents with them is that a good sign or is that whatever

They deduct alot from your pay, besides taxes you have union dues, healthcare, defered comp, retirement, optional aflac insurance and optional cpof. There's no uniform pay. They used to give it I guess, but it just got worked into your base pay. In addition to your base pay, you get hazadous duty, pre shift briefing pay(that they take back when you call in sick, take vacation, or swap) expanded duty pay, and inconvenience pay if you work afternoons or overnights. Depending on your facility, you can make tons of money in overtime. I've seen co's make over 200k a year. My facility doesn't have too much overtime, but co's with my time can still make over 100k with overtime.
how long does the entire process take to get hired ?

Don't want to put words in anyones mouth, but I think that was in reference to maxing out at the time you're eligible to retire. The State loves to move in ways that make absolutely no sense.

I meant it’s stupid that we max out at 25 years, when we’re all looking to retire. I see how it was confusing. Sorry lol

Uniform pay we get as “soft money” like 1000 something, along with other soft monies.
basically it’s built on top of your base pay.. say you make 66k yearly.. with soft money, your actually prob around 71k.

longevity is yearly increase till 7 years.
    then 10,15,20 & 25.
u obv don’t Max out till 25.. which is obv when most ppl retire.. stupid if ya ask me
