Has anyone heard how many academies they will be running after the nov 19, 26, and dec 3 graduations? Also, does anyone know how many CO Trainees typically get called for each class/academy?

I did my Interview August 15th but my medical/agility was cancelled that day for some reason. So I had to go back September 23rd to finish that. I'm starting to think that delayed my processing. Any insight would be great, thanks!

I completed the process and got my pass letter in the mail, my investigator said “no news is good news” and told me I should get the call in about 2 months. That was 9/28.

I took the psych 8/28
Physica/Investigator 9/28
Zoom interview 10/5

The silence is killing me lol

After the interview with the investigator he said “you’ll receive a call in about 1/2 to 2 months from me asking if anything has changed and letting you know when you’ll report”

That was 9/28, so hopefully we’ll be getting called this month!

JRB , the waiting suspense is rough but don’t make yourself crazy about it. They need people they will call us! I’d say just try to get ready and enjoy while we can lol. It’s because of the holidays, i feel we’re going to get that call at the eom for January.

I did my P/T and interview 10/4 and my psychological via zoom call on 10/6 got my pass letter from the physical and was told the same phrase “no news is good news” so 12/4 would be 2 months hopefully we don’t start an academy in December but if I get the call I’m going

Im from Upstate NY like Clinton / Franklin county area. Ive started the process already but ive been hearing that people from up this way are starting to stay downstate for a longer period of time, like 1 - 2 years. I know 2-3 years ago people from my area were only downstate for 6 months max before they made it back this way, im not sure if anyone knows the truth behind it but just trying to get some insight on how long i should be prepared to be gone for once i do go through academy.

I’m from the city when I graduated they sent me to upstate. I was there for a few months before transferring back down. It all depends on the needs of the facility so the time can vary. One thing I do know is it’s quicker going downstate than going upstate

I passed the test and am just waiting for that call. I’ve been going to the gym but push ups are my weakness lol.

also once in the academy, how long until things like health benefits kick in?

They will create three groups according to one’s fitness level. Group A will be for the individuals who are in shape, B for those who are in semi shape, and C for those who needs work. All will PT together but all have separate pt times as well. Group A I believe have to work out once a week, B twice, and C I believe 3X

dont worry about push up as long as you are moving your body while doing PT you will be fine they cant kick you out unless you give up yourself, and u will definitely lose ALOT of weight in the academy.

Can someone give a a step by step on what happens when you get to the academy. What should you bring with you. Is there any more medical screening once your there? What are the sleeping arrangements? How much class work is there? Can’t find much on the internet about it.

u arrive on Sunday in a FULL business suit with tie and belt, even it is 100 degree out there u must still wear the suit jacket.
and please bring everything that is on the list that they gave you even its say it is OPTIONAL like clothe hanger etc. you will need at least 2 hanger just for the display, u will make hospital bed corners. and u better sleep on top of ur hospital bed so u dont waste time in the morning on making the bed again for inspection. bring your own blanket when i was there in Aug they turn down the AC at night and it will be super cold even in the summer time. there will be 4 person in each room. and each room got a full bath.
every class have differ schedule even you guys all come in on the same day.

class are assign by the last name. remember when 1 of you **** up the whole class will punish for it. so help each other out and dont be a dick in your class. u dont want your drill instructor to remember you.


one last thing and it is really important BRIING BIO FREEZE u will need it.

Is it true that the academy is on hold because of this new variant of covid virus?

I also tried to call my investigator and got no answer. I left a message and they did not call back. I think it’s because of the holidays. It’s just stressful because I hate the not knowing part lol.

I just been going to the gym trying not to think about it, but I feel better because at least you guys respond!

I wanna say that I had nearly a months notice before the academy started. Don't drag your suitcase across the floor like you're walking through the airport

One of my employers were called but none of my references or friends were ever called.

I did my physical medical and all that good stuff today, met with my investigator and i am going to take the pysch on January 8th. I asked him if with covid getting worse again if **** was gonna close down he said no way, that they are hurting so bad they wont shut down the academy again. He said theres gonna be another academy starting mid January. And should be 20 more academies throughout the year. Of 2022

Had my zoom on Oct 26. Still haven't heard anything. Day 1 is Tuesday. That will be 9 weeks since the psych interview. I DQ 3x already. Anyone know if anyone you know DQ after 9 weeks of waiting. In the past I got notified 4-5 weeks after interview. So nervous. I may have passed this time. I'm praying
