You have to be a resident to even take the exam right ?

For Westchester County's exam you must be a resident to apply.

For Putnam County you can reside in Westchester, Rockland, Orange, Dutchess (and Putnam) to apply

City of Cohoes and City of Kingston have exam postings up. The posting for Kingston closes March 10th.

Anyone have an idea when the next Mt Vernon exam is and if there will be a WC residency requirement? Spoke to a PO in passing a few months ago who said it was supposed to be last fall but he didn't know when it would happen with everything going on.
