New Exams Coming Out

Any exams coming out in NY around LI or the City? I know Nassau’s was in 2018 and Suffolk was 2019 with the MTA but any other departments looking to hire ? Besides nypd of course

I think we will have to wait since Nassau and Suffolk may not be available for another 2-3 years. Did you apply for PAPD when they were open last year?

Westchester’s civil service test should be coming out this year.

Something is coming in May for them, but I think they have residency requirements.

You have to be a resident to even take the test

I did I didn’t get picked to take the test

There's a hiring freeze until 2023. So long as you paid to apply and received a receipt, your application should still be in the running. I'm not keen on waiting that long so I may have to join the NYPD for the time being.

And you think the two to three year processing time for NYPD is going to get you hired faster..?

I've taken the written exam and passed (Exam #8339, June 2018). Will it still take just as long for processing after that?
