The multitasking part is what I was thinking about. Because I want to improve my multitasking skills.

It depends what you mean by stepping stone. If you want to gain work experience in speaking through the radio, multi tasking, and working with officers then yes. If you think it will give you a leg up to become a police officer then no. All departments hire off of a civil service or similar test.

I noticed a few local counties were given the 911 dispatcher exam. Is being a 911 dispatcher a good stepping stone for going into law enforcement?
