roswell park public safety???

anyone on here from Buffalo and has anyone seen this? I was off duty last night I was a SUV with "roswell park public safety" on it. Are they peace officers now??? I looked in the CPL online and didnt find anything, but I dont know how updated it was.

More Security Than Law Enforcement

They are not in the CPL because they are not really Law Enforcement officers. - more like security guards in cop uniforms. They are not even allowed to carry guns and they do not make traffic stops or very few arrests each yerar. The few arrests made yearly are more of a citizens arrest type. I worked for them for awhile before leaving the state to go back to school, so I know what they cannot do. Their job consists of checking doors at night, giving directions to visitors and giving rides to patients.
