When you don't quote the OP we don't know who you are responding to. The last comment about passing anything was in regards to the physical and your comment wouldn't apply to that.

In addition most if not all of the physical tests will be conducted outside so dress accordingly and take the weather into account on your test date.

No idea right now. It's up in the air. The only certainty seems to be that it will not be NYPD.

Does anyone know what the parking situation is at the location of the test? Is driving there worth it or is a better idea to take public trans?

All I know is that the location for the written test is Midwood High School in Brooklyn. I have heard that parking is bad there so I would either plan on getting there very early or taking public transit if it's even available close by.

The NYC DOT website (somewhere on there) has information on parking signs that are posted on every block in the city. You can go look for that to see what the parking restrictions are (if any) in the area.

The physical is on the College of Staten Island campus and there should be plenty of parking available there.

Do I have to respond to the email that gave me my test date or is payment of the exam fee enough ?

I believe the fee is enough. It states upon payment you shall receive an exam invitation. Which I’m still waiting on and the rest of my friends are too

Any chance the exam date would change? Also would there be any other step the week following the exam or is it going to be awhile before we here from them after taking the exam?

I doubt it unless MTA changes it. And yeah it’s gonna be a while especially for us civilians since they don’t have a academy to send us to if we make it.

What do you mean by there isn’t an academy? Also, if I’m going through the nypd process now, and possibly get into the January or April academy does that help me?

So if I were to graduate the nypd academy in July for example, and was called by the mta I would have to go through another academy?

MTAPD does NOT have its own police academy. NYPD has cut ties with MTAPD. Yes going through the NYPD academy would help but I believe there are repercussions if you decide to back out during your probationary period. (Someone correct me if I’m wrong)

NOT OTJ but I was accepted to take the exam. My friend (also not OTJ) was called by MTA during the last exam however; he didn't have credits. So i'm not too sure that this is only for current PO's to take it. I also know current PO's who did not get accepted to take it.

What happened last time? Are you referring to the 2016 announcement? How was the exam and was that a lottery format in 2016?
