Is it worth getting the “Enhanced” version of the study guide? Or is there another online Stuart guide that is worth getting ?

Just took the exam, you get 2 1/2 hrs to complete. I didn’t even get to finish. The map questions and shape questions took a bit. Probably left about 7/8 unanswered total on test. Is it a score or pass or fail test? I’m hoping it don’t affect not finishing.
and parking was deff hard I parked maybe 8 blocks away at the Brooklyn high school location
200 questions total
80 multiple choice
115 personality questions
5 other questions ( didn’t get to see it)
& didn’t get to last 5 or so

We will receive our results 8-10 weeks from the day we took it. So hopefully we will see them sometime in January!
2 hours 30 mins to finish the test
i finished with about 30 mins left and was about to look through the whole test and fixed a bunch of answers. So if you have time to check your work over DO IT !

Took the test today, it was a pretty standard cop test. Maybe slightly more difficult than the NYPD one (at least what I remember about that one). You get 2 and a half hours to answer 200 questions. Time each question accordingly and you’ll breeze through it. I reckon about 95% of us who took it are disgruntled NYPD guys.
Also, if you’re going to Brooklyn, get there early because parking sucks.
PS, there’s nothing to study for. Just do the study guide to get familiar in what type of questions they ask."Relax, the handcuffs are tight because they're new. They'll stretch out after you wear them awhile."

Anyone know what would happen if I were to get hired by nypd first, then hired by mta. Hypothetically speaking, if I was in the academy or still on probation for the two years. Would there be any blow back? I just don’t wanna pass up on any opportunities

In the past you'd just stay in the academy and just switch patches. Now you'd probably get thrown out, although MTAPD might just defer your hiring until graduation and take you from there.

HighwayBob thanks, I’m sure nypd would be very salty after finding out why I left, hypothetically. Lol

Congrats on officially becoming PAPD. You're straight your at unless you want to work less days for over 100K. MTA out of contract as well, their pay will over 120 for 13 days a month. A steal. Would you happen to know when the 120&121 class may drop because was defer from the 118th do to military. Thanks.

Hopefully they hire again soon for you guys. It’s a great job. When I took it in 2016 it took them 3 years to email for an interview. Since I was in the *** end of the PAPD academy they just wanted me to go for the interview but I declined. Also I heard if you just graduated from NYPD you don’t have to go to there academy again. Since MTA police literally learns and takes classes with the NYPD academy

For those who took the test already...you recommend buying the extended edition of the study guide?
any other links or books those who have taken it recommend to study for this test and do well on it?
Thanks in advance
also...

I guess so. But PAPD is blood money? like really...seriously?
When I think of blood money..i think of getting stuck like in corrections(nydoc)..to do double shifts...or working RDO overtime for 10-12 hours after working five days straight in NYPD..
PAPD only work 4on2off 4on3off....
I know a lot of dudes in PAPD...wouldnt exactly call it blood money...seems to me like a high paying security gig..

I agree with Segurosky3410 only working 13 days a month and making 100k is an amazing gig a lot of time off because to be honest you will have a lot of time off to enjoy that money and life itself. Totally right
-
RoboCop, I know I a lot of PAPD cops as well. I guess different perspectives and where they posted. I agree with u high paying security.
