Not sure if anyone has any experience with this, I was NYPD for a little over 2 years I got out in 2016 and left to help my families business. I just took the recent MTA police test I know I've had a significant break in service at this point. But do you think they would have me go to the NYPD academy again doesn't really matter to me either which way just curious

Yes you would redo the academy. You need to be a current active police officer certified in NY

Does anyone know if MTAPD accept NJ PTC as a waiver or do you have to go through a NY academy?

You would have to attend the NYPD academy

I know of some people who have, you can pm if you want. However, I believe it’s a case by case thing.

Just got the email i passed the written. For the education requirement it says 60 credits or 2 years as an active sworn police officer. Ive been a nys court officer for almost 5 years but technically im a peace officer not police. Will i be disqualified i dont have 60 college credits.

How can we find out the exact score? I passed but I cant find out anywhere my score

It’s pass/fail. There’s no raw score.

Emails will be sent out (Lottery) to people to take the fitness test. For us OTJ it’s a straight lateral but we start at the lowest step still.

Anyone else notice that on the email saying you passed it says "the polygraph examination will be required" but on the MTA website it says the poly is not required for job posting #103907? Don't know which is accurate.

Yea June 10th is the first round of people for the PT test and I definitely wasn't anticipating that quick of a response.

I am also Prior NYPD & Military so idk if they maybe processing the people who would be laterals first
