Just curious, does anyone know if the plan is still for MTAPD to take over for the TBTA BTOs? Or have they given that up to NYPD and NYSP? Same for having them in the subways?

I heard that too. I wonder when the next lottery is considering the next exam date is tentatively the first week of February and the instructions stated study materials are sent 3 weeks prior to exam date.

I’m curious about their lateral policy as well. I’m originally from New York but am a police officer in Charlotte, NC. My academy encompassed 900 hours of training. I’m also aware of the NY DCJS police equivalency course for out of state officers.

No Federal laterals or Out of State laterals. You'll need to be NY DCJS certified and currently an active police officer or else you'll be attending the 6 months NYPD academy.
