Don’t worry they will do the home visit at some point . Rollovers that started the process this year are being hired starting end of august don’t know how many for the first wave

Does anyone know how things go when you transfer from NYPD? Like I know you have to go through MTA’s whole process but are like some things easier ? Do they just get certain information from the NYPD ? Thanks !

I'm a roll over and did not get an email. Does anyone know does if more will go out? Could I possibly have got disqualified somehow and not been told? Last I talked to my investigator everything was good/

There’s more for rollovers probably same amount sent out this time will be sent out in couple weeks and if you been disqualified you would have been told or have gotten the hint. They say good luck or anything along those lines after every step you good

That’s not at all true. My boy got a COE before the home visit. He got his COE before he even had the psych and med.

A home visit is part of the background investigation so yes it must be done before a final offer goes out. A conditional offer of employment is different, yes you can receive a COE before the med or psych.

Do you have to dress in business attire for the home check? Or can you be in regular clothes?

You can definitely be in regular clothes. I’m mine I was in a t shirt and shorts lol. You in your home if they give any issue with what you wear that’ll be crazy.

I think they would fail you if they show up to your house and you are just in a suit and tie for no reason, too suspicious.

Yea that’s different . That’s a whole interview but I do get your point. Before my home visit I did wonder but I just chose not to and The home visit is chill , don’t wear nothing crazy and you’ll be fine .

So I just finished everything again redid all my stuff and haven’t heard anything yet just waiting for the email to come

Ace27 yeah dude home visit was done last year got great reviews by everyone. Now I’m just waiting I did hear letters went out on Friday and that’s confirmed with a start date of august 25th. So hopefully something happens

Plus no matter how reliable a source there is things change week to week sometimes. Looks like they want to hire at least 200-300 more people.

East Side Access is set to open next year and that will be a new command with about 100 uniforms, plus MANY retirements have occurred and will continue to occur. Overall headcount is up significantly from when I left last year but there have been and will continue to be a lot of retirements.
