So I was told we have to have our highschool diploma, I dont have that anymore. I can only retrieve my transcript, will that be a problem when meeting with the investigator?

You'll have to ask whoever the investigator is, but I really don't see that being a problem as long as the transcript shows that you graduated,

Has anyone tried to fax in the form requesting all unemployment information from ny state? I’ve been trying to send it using the fax number provided but it is busy and has tried to resend all day long with no success.

Go to the NYS DOL office and request a summary print out and have them stamp it with a seal. I wouldn't rely on a fax machine and actually getting someone on the other end to process it for you.

Go read what highwaybob said multiple times. They are BACKUP right now with the interviews. I also believe if you failed the interview they’ll just email you saying that you will not progress with the selection process anymore.

I have no idea what the mix is of people who passed the panel, but I know a lot of cops failed. The physical will be some mix.

I wonder what happens if you are completely cleared to be hired but don’t because of a Ccrb. Will they give you until the next hiring to clear it up or do you just get forgotten about?

CCRB will definitely hold you up. It has stopped many from being hired. They look at it as you being a liability. Get that taken cared of or cleared up.

Not sure why you think that anyone who failed the panel would get called. Once you fail anything you're out.

Hello everyone. Question. I passed the panel interview, met with my investigator and turned in all my paperwork. Others I know that have not yet met with their investigator were called for the physical test. Does anyone know if everyone that passed the panel interview will get called for the physical? My concern is that there is one scheduled for March and one for April and I have not heard anything. When I met with my investigator, she asked if I had heard anything on the physical and when I told her I had not, she said she had nothing to do with that part of it. Anyone know how this works? I would just hate to have missed an email, although I checked spam, junk, etc. Thanks.

There is no date set for April yet.

Everyone who passed the panel should be called for the PFT. Maybe that first date (3/28) is filled up at this point. You'll just have to wait and see what happens. If you have an investigator you are moving on in the process.

HighwayBob Thanks for the clarification. A couple of my friends got called for April 4, which is why I'm concerned. I assumed after the March date went out that I would be called for April, but that didn't happen. Hoping they will have a second one in April! Thanks.

They are supposed to have a second one in April towards the end of the month but it's not set yet.

My investigator told me most likely I will be scheduled for the PT on April 18. I dont meet with my investigator til May.

HighwayBob The only notification I received was that I received a passing grade. I have no prior law enforcement experience. Will they be going through the entire list on the physical? I understand that if you failed the panel you are finished. Just wanted to know if all that passed the written will be called for the physical? All the info you have provided has been very helpful. I have no idea, but logic would dictate that all who passed the panel would be called for the physical. The exact number of dates for the PFT are unknown now.
