This got me thinking if mta plans to hire 500 officers I wonder if they are going to use there own academy that Tbta is using. But then again if they only hiring active LEO’s they only need the 9 week mta procedure training

When they talk about current LEO's, do you know do they take out of state LEO? I'm currently a LEO from Florida and have a little over three years of experience. I'm just curious.

TBTA has no "academy". MTAPD currently does not have it's own academy.

I would hope so , I work for another law enforcement but not a police agency so I guess I am considered civilian.

Received one email stating that I’m eligible to go through the Testing process. I received the second email with the exam date and HQ requesting that pay for the exam. The second email came a few hours after the first. I just paid for the exam 5 minutes ago. I wonder how the MTA police exam differs from the agencies like NYC and other Counties.
