    Official scores are always close to the printed scores, IMO. YMMV.
    I got a 91.7%

      Got 81/85 correct yesterday! which is like a 95%. Too bad we have to wait 9-12 months now to get full results

                That’s about 79%…plus 5 points residency = 84. Not a bad score

                    @nj1993

                    I purchased a study exam from amazon. It was extremely difficult so the test was easy in comparison. It teaches you how they try to trick you etc.... But more importantly, I think its mental endurance. Just taking practice exams and simulating the test/answering 100 questions in a row builds a little endurance. The most difficult part of the test is just the repetition of passages after passages and maps so by question 70 your kinda fatigued and lose some focus. So taking plenty of practice exams leading up to the test will help in just that alone.

                    The tips I will give you is this:

                    Whenever there are like 4 to 5 paragraphs...read them entirely, dont take the shortcut and read the questions first and then try and hunt for the answers. They set many traps like that.

                    Whenever you are not 100% sure of an answer, answer it and write the number of the question down on the scrap paper and come back to it once you are done.

                    I got an 84/85 which is 98/99 so it was def worth it for me.

                      Anyone used FEMA credits to get on the job? If so what college did you use? Is Excelsior good? How much was it? Thank you for all information provided

                        Yes, i am doing FEMA for all 60 credits, i recommend Charter oak state college, they can transfer your credits to a official transcript for a flat rate of 800 plus a 75 dollar fee to register.

                        I know this Is an old post but I was wondering how everything worked out with the female credits through charter oak. I am considering using them and wanted to make sure everything was accepted

                        I used the Barron's exam book for the police officer's exam. It used a lot of past NYPD test material. I scored just over a 96% without any residency points, etc.

                        Here is one tip: Focus on identifying question types and the recommended approaches to each.

                        As I recall, there is no information you need to memorize for the test.

                      Completely understand that everything is dependent on the need for officers, but does a 76 out of 85 put me in a position to get hired based off previous tests or is it not a good enough score to be reached on the list?

                        it's good enough to be reached before those who scored 75 or less

                        Scores don't really matter as everyone's case is different. A person who scores less can go to the academy before someone who scores 100% and is stuck in review. I for instance finished my whole process before my friend who was in mid 4000 and I'm in late 6000s
