Now that the spring '23 class is in, anyone know where they got up to on the list?

They are above 2500. Not exactly sure where they are on this list. I would expect that after this summer they will procced with village offers and COE for the fall class. Rumor is November for the next class of approx 50 again.

It’s in that period where everything’s frozen. Towards the end of the summer with the new class in fall people will be called further I’m sure

Anyone know which villages are some of the better ones to sign with?

They're all pretty much good just most of them don't have the 20-year retirement. What's concerning to me is that if you apply for one, you take yourself off the list once you sign their COE. What is not explained is how do you get back onto the list if they can't hire you due to a layoff or whatever else BS might happen.

Beggars can't be choosers, they're all good and I'm sure everyone who's in a village will tell you how great theirs is. As for getting back onto Nassau's list, I'm pretty positive once you turn down the coe for Nassau then you're officially not going to Nassau. Village or bust I *think*

Yea I think some were doing interviews fall 22 idk how many hired. They usually reach out after you meet with your investigator right?

This is correct. Once you opt out of the county by signing a village COE, you have effectively signed yourself out of contention with the county, and can not be reinstated on the county list.

Just got my SSA earnings request that is supposed to go direct to ncpd applicant investigations returned to me today. Reason was that the charge is $100 not $92 like the one ncpd supplied to us to send to them. Will this effect my process and did anyone else have this issue?

If you’re list 33XX there’s no way you got an 83.5…I’m list 30XX with an 82.4

Just keep in mind…a lot of people fail the fitness test so the list will go faster. Plus the city just got a raise so most people at top pay can’t afford to leave and start in the 30’s

Jarhead0612 that doesn’t make the list go faster though. At the end of the day it’s only 50 per class. The next step for everyone here is investigator after fingerprints which can take up to a year to get a person then you meet with them and discuss and sign a bunch of things. Then it can be another 6 months before the next steps for psych and poly etc

I’m still waiting on fingerprints (list 30xx). I only did the fitness test in March 2022. This is the longest I’ve waited for any civil service. Unless they change the class size i don’t see many people getting reached like myself because 50 per class with only 2 classes a year is nothing

Good chance of you getting reached bro. Idk how your physical was but mine was a blood bath. Factor in all the DQs from step one to the end plus the new city raise and you're looking better. I'm in the city and a few city guys I know who are on the list and at top pay don't want to take the leap anymore. I think they're crazy but I'm not about to talk them out of staying lol

Same here, I haven’t heard anything from my physical in April. I think this ain’t gonna happen but gotta just gotta keep up to date cause ya never know but it looks unlikely.
