Does anyone know what PT is like at the academy? How long/intense the workouts are and if it’s every single day or every other day? I’ve been training like crazy and am curious if I’m overdoing it. Don’t wanna risk getting hurt

Like 90 minutes 5 days a week. A lot of calisthenics. Be able to run an 11:30 or lower 1.5mile if youre a male under 30 and youll be ok.

Anyone know if time served in another police department transfers over? I know every department is different with the amount of time allowed to carry over and if the time is counted up front or on the back end. Thanks!

It counts for retirement purposes, for example if you did 5 years in nypd you could retire after 15 for a total of 20 years. For salary purposes it does not count

How do you know if you’re cleared from oral psych?

They don't tell you. If you pass, they will call you for the uniform fitting.

Yep just waiting for the call. Wouldn't be surprised if we dont even hear until early june but hoping for sooner.

They should I know for physical they are around the 1900 I believe somewhere 85.88 is the score. I don’t know what exact list number it goes to

Still haven’t heard anything since psych test about 3 weeks ago. Completed everything else, haven't heard about uniform fitting. Bad sign if trying to make it into the next academy?

From what I heard when I went for uniform fitting they have a deadline of 5/31 to get whoever is eligible fitted and ready.

Has anyone heard anything about the new academy building? Just curious to see if this class will really go into the new building. For anyone who knows someone who has recently graduated, what is the academy schedule like? 7-3, M-F or is it different?

I heard it still might be the old academy. Schedule I believe is 7-5 M-F. At some point during the academy you work every other Saturday
