They were probably focusing on the applicants that signed COE with villages. If you are trying for NCPD, that should probably pick up soon.

Need some opinions for a friend .... Hempstead offered a COE to him however he’s been trying to get into contact with his investigator , to see if he gets a COE from the county but has not heard anything. Any recommendations?

If he has any doubts about Hempstead I would recommend holding off until he contacts his investigator. Many would prefer the county over that job.

If he’s got an investigator it’s probably more of when he gets a COE from the county not if. I interviewed with Hempstead last month to mainly see what the village interview process was all about just incase RVC or any one of the sought after villages reached out to me. Ended up not signing with Hempstead and am sticking with the county(for now). From seeing how many cops retired/retiring from the city I could imagine that the county has a lot of positions to fill and will need bodies for this next class.

The city is a totally different job and has nothing to do with Nassau. Cops are looking to get out of NYPD in droves - Nassau is not in the same boat.

I haven’t heard anything. I met with my investigator almost 8 months ago, gave in everything that was needed and haven’t heard anything since. No disqualification or anything.

List number mid 400s. My buddy who is list number 49x just got called for COE. Makes me a little nervous that I haven’t heard anything

Investigators all work at different paces and have different work loads. They take vacation etc..
