Thanks to everyone for the tips and info. Took it today in BK at 1:30p. Took me about an hour and 35 mins. I was the first one to finish. Scored 98.280% (not sure how they come up with the decimal number). Also have 5 pts for NYC residency so around 103.280%

Now in the meantime, back to my current job.... Good luck to everyone taking it.
Test is not hard at all. Straight forward.

                    hey everyone,
going to take the exam on 1/18 just wanted to ask a few questions, and it might seem to early but just wanted some info..

will it effect me later in the process if i,

                    1) was suspended from school when i was freshman and sophmore 4-5 times for fights and other little stupid things, i was immature and stupid...
2)i got arrested for failure to pay a drivers assessment and driving in NYC with a suspended license, at the time i moved to PA and my mailing address was wrong and i had no idea that my license was suspended, i paid it automatically and plead guilty for this..
3)i got fired from a job 2 years ago because i worked with my father and she had it out for me and fired me for "time theft" meanwhile prior to this i never was disciplined in that job and it was the first time i ever was in her office.
4)the last speeding ticket i got was in 2012
5)i also legally obtained 2 handguns from PA and used them for target shooting, both were sold to a FLL dealer and receipts were kept before i moved back to NY.
Other than these incidents, i held 2 full time jobs. One in a hospital and one in property management, one for 5 years and one for 2 years, both in which i have glowing recommendations. i also completed 80 credits in college with a 3.0 gpa, i am willing to take a pay cut to join the NYPD due to the job security. do you guys think my past history will get me caught up and DQed from the NYPD process?

im sorry for the long read and i greatly appreciate any reply..

john you will need to wait out the process and see what happens- remember no 2 applicants are alike. it will be investigated but, BUT no guarantee as to if it will hinder your process. good luck!

Sup guys, whoa it's been a while since I've been on this. I've worked for the police department since I was 18 doing administrative duties, then became a cop.. then resigned after 4 years because I started a business that pays more and still does.. and allows WAY more time freedom. After not working for almost two years more than an hour a day I decided i miss the job lol So I feel brand new again and took the test on January 3rd. I think i registered 2 days before that and after reading everything on this i guess its just as hard to get a seat for a test as it is getting a pair of yeezy's LOL. I scored a 96.765% and boy are things different these days. Regardless its all hurry up and wait with the department. So lets wait! LOL Just stay out of trouble and especially moving violations.

All of the answers are on the test, and you can always go back to read anything to get the answers. You won't fail. This is just to weed out the real retards. As long as you pass you WILL get called. The real tests are in the academy.
