Hello again everyone. Sorry for making this thread feel like a Train Operator convo. But I just got my letter 2 days ago to begin my MotorMan process with the MTA. I have to report Wednesday at 730am. I have made up my mind to go with this route until I hear something from TBTA. The training here is 9 months so it'll keep me occupied in the meantime. Hopefully with my 2 wrong, I'll have a GREAT list number when they finally release the eligable list.

Good luck everyone and stay focused. I will be checking in from time to time.

hey maybe the dream is a sign that your gonna get called
Yeah hopefully. The facility (just the physical exam) looked more like a high school gym. The way it was set up was pretty cool.

t/o training is 6-1/2 to 7-1/2 months long in the a division (numbered trains) and 9 months for the b division (lettered trains)

I still remember someone on here said that in the test room a guy next to him had a vip or some club wrist band on. Guess he found himself a lady, went to the hotel after the club, got busy, leaves the hotel going straight to test site.

I was talking to a captain correction who took the test and he said a lot of people looked too trashy and some smelled like bud lol. I kinda looked like a drug dealer that day too with a 3xl north face coat lol we'll see what happens

When you become a train operator it's considered a promotion so you are not taking a leave of absence from BO . When they call you for bto you would return to BO then take a leave of absence to go to BTO

dont know if this helps but youll like t/o much better than bus operator . You really dont have to deal with the passengers if you dont want to.. And plenty of ot.. The trick is trying to stay awake while operating, the signals in the dark tunnels can be hypnotizing ..its def cool gig..
