Contact the international police association . You should join in Germany and they would have set you up with a tour of the city. Many times you stay in a officers house.

My girlfriend and I (both police officers from Munich, Germany) are going to be in the US for vacation in November. Is there any chance to visit the NYPD? It would be great to be shown around by a colleague, to have a closer look at the equipment and learn how the work gets done in overseas.

Of course we will take some giveaways to our stay in New York.
