Does any NYPD MOS know anything about this position such as morale or if its a 24/7 gig or just regular business hours? These are the guys that work in precincts that voucher and transport evidence and they are under NYPD. They are special patrolman

Plain clothes. You can get assigned to any patrol command, or property clerk. You are still labled as a civilian and only have the special patrolman status to handle drugs and guns.

Basically Monday thru Friday gig, day tours primarily. I am 99% sure that they can participate in "flextime" and adjust their tours to their needs, as long as the job gets done.

It's not a police or law enforcement job of any kind. Pay is not the best and your co workers suck as much teeth as the PAA in any local precinct if you ask them to do something.

You basically input evidence in the computer, scan them in and out. Request things from the property clerk office, make sure vehicles are vouchered, and basically make sure all evidence is in order prior to sending the items to their respective storing location.

Responsible for the transport, inspection, storage and delivery of legal and illegal substances and property such as firearms, narcotics, cash, jewelry, etc., being held in evidence by the New York City Police Department.

Must have high school diploma and 3 years military, security, or LE experiance

Pay is good, $40,000+ which increases with time on the job.
      NYPD Exam 4324
