My left arm is fully covered in tattoos (religious related tattoos) nothing vulgar or inappropriate.

How is the nypd going to view me? Will I be DQ'd?

As long as they are nothing inappropriate, no. Although they will ask you describe them and explain why you got them 1,000 times, lol. They will also take pictures, but that is the extent of it.

Maybe if you work in some slow precinct in Manhattan. Where I work, no boss gives rookie cops a hard time about wearing short sleeves in 90 degree weather if you got tattoos, there just glad you showed up for work.

I have personally observed borough inspections walk up to a sleeved cop during a detail and ask what his appointment date was.
