    • Do u have to write down if u ever got academically suspended from a college at the written psych test?? Like if u got associates degree at one school and then at ur next school got academically suspended from working two jobs and not having enough time for the classes.

There will be a question that asks about something along those lines. Disclose, disclose, disclose!

Do u think the psych doc will put me on review if i tell them that it was because i was working two jobs which caused me to not have enough time towards my school work. I was working both to pay for school

I took General and abnormal psychology while in college. What the NYPD psychologists are looking for is mental issues that would (in their mind) interfere with you performing the duties of a NYPD police officer.

            • Do any of u guys think that I would get DQ if i said the reason i was on academic probation was from working two jobs to pay for school and it ended up effecting my study time

I don't see how academic probation by is self is ground for DQ.

No, but you're getting to be paranoid about the process and paranoia is a big No-NO with these psychologists.

Check out the below u-tube video on "paranoia" by 1980s cartoon icon Max Headroom

                    • I took my psych oral Thursday and called Monday and they said still on review. Any insights? I heard they put people on review and then end up DQ them. How does on review work? Any idea guys? Thanks.

                            • Guess i belong in this thread now, received DQ letter from NYC DOC psych today.

Of course im going to appeal it, money is no issue. Where do i begin? What can i expect the process to be like? How long of a process, etc? Should i be hopeful I can successfully appeal in time for the next class in 7mo? Or is this a longggggg process im beginning.

                              Thank you for any/all info.

                              • Another question

A friend of a friend is a Psychologist. Would i be fine using them, or would i benefit from hiring one of these lawyer/doctor combo firms?

Or can i use my guy to get the records just to decide if its worth getting a lawyer?

I have really no idea which direction to go.
