the fact that you had a second oral interview is a good thing. All you can do is wait. From the time of my second interview, until a determination was made- was about six months. Do not call psych services. Keep in touch with your investigator monthly.

Saying you matured and changed and showing it are two different things.

While not impossible, backround disqualifications are typically a bit more difficult. I reccomend Rob Kronenberg for appeals; free consultations.

You would be placed on review; and your determination made by the review unit. Id say try and see what happens.

You are on psych review which is due to your driving history and the arrest. Based on your arrest, they can say you are a bit aggressive and like to handle your problems with your own hand. As far as your driving history they can say you are reckless. Simply because of the arrest and driving history it give them a red flag. It's better to be on psych review than get a proposal disqualification. As far as the psych review, it's either they clear you without you doing anything or send you a proposal disqualification which I hope not. As far as investigation, they want to investigate your pass instead of relying to what you told them. So stay positive, don't give up and don't annoy your investigator. Always be polite when you email them and only do it once in a blue moon. Good luck bro

Actually, psych services has never been able to sustain a psychological disqualification based on driving history. There has to be much more of a scientific basis than an arrest and driving records. Anyone wishing to get a very insightful free consult, should talk to Rob Kronenberg @ 631-234-4434 (he does pre-interview preperation and also appeal cases)

            • Hey guys...I just took my oral today. It went over fairly smooth except when I fumbled a little on when she was yelling at me for some traffic violations. At the end, my psych gave me a speech about how she will submit the information and that the decision will be made by her supervisor. She also said that if I were to be placed on anything, to make sure to reply ASAP. Does everyone get that little speech at the end of the oral or does it seem that it is pretty much decided already?

what do you mean "placed on anything"?

and how many traffic summonses are we speaking about? 3,4,20?

I've only had 3 moving violations, which 2 were dismissed. I also had about 6 non-moving in which half were dismissed (2x uninsured vehicle -dismissed, 2 registration violations - dismissed and some defective headlight/tail light tickets). She said that the decision is not hers but gave me a speech that if anything were to happen based on their decisions, to reply immediately if applicable. She didn't hand me any papers except to fill out my name and information.

I can send you the summons worksheet they use, but it does not apply to the psych. They can not sustain a psych dq based on VTL summonses, alone.

Seems to me like there are procedures that she has to follow when candidates have a history of multiple tickets/summonses. I would listen to what she says and get the paperwork sent in asap. she probably wants to pass you but is required to look at the paperwork before her supervisor approves it.

                        • This is so frustrating, I found out that all my paperwork was signed off as well as by the chief of applicants only to find out that I was placed on review by the Pysch Dept. It was definitely a crushing blow 2 weeks before the January Academy. It does it make it easier to know theyre are others out there in the same boat!!

Im sure it has something to do with an arrest I had which later was dropped down to a moving violation. Besides that I have a clean history.

                              • Once you are put on psych review, does everyone receive a letter 3 months, or can you be called up for a second interview and etc. ?
