  • A few questions after taking NYPD exam

I took the exam 2302 in August, and got a 92.9. I had a few questions..

is that good enough to get a call?
if so, when should that be?
I'm only 19, so if i get the call and I'm not 21 yet, what happens?

    Thanks for your help!

There is about a two to three year wait to get into a class on average right now. That could change if they increase how many people they hire every six months. You could have gotten a 70 and still get the call, as long as you pass the test they have to process you. If you are not old enough they will put you on hold until you are the appropriate age. Check out the January 2012 thread and read through it. You will get a good idea of what the process consists of.
    Exam: 8050
    List: 1xx
    Medical: Done
    Psych Written: Done
    Psych Oral: Done
    JST: Done x2
BI: Paperwork approved, let's hope it stays that way!
    Mini Medical: Done x2 (11/10/11)

quick answers. 21 to go into the academy. you can do an age deferment and can activate your file at 20.5 and complete the hiring process. process consists of: background investigation, medical, oral/written psychological, an obstacle course (known as JST), and a mini-medical prior to getting hired.
